Hi, I’m Anna, the creator behind Recipes Without Borders. With over 20 years of experience in the food and hospitality world, I’ve turned a lifelong passion for flavour, storytelling, and culture into a platform that celebrates the power of food and travel to connect people.

Rooted in authenticity and curiosity, I explore the world one dish, destination, and experience at a time, creating content that helps others Make, Taste, and Discover what makes each place truly special.

My Story

Food has always been my passport to the world, a universal language that tells stories words often can’t. I was first inspired by my uncle’s travel tales of spice markets in India and peaceful tea houses in Japan. He’d return from his travels with stories and trinkets, many of which I still treasure today. Those early memories planted the seed for a life of curiosity, flavour, and discovery.

I’ve since travelled the world twice; transcending cuisines, climates, and cultures in pursuit of the best food, drink, and travel experiences. From street-side bowls in Vietnam to rooftop tasting menus in Rio de Janeiro, I’ve followed flavour wherever it leads, capturing stories that connect us through the joy of food.

I grew up in a hardworking hospitality family in the UK, where food was our anchor through both good times and bad. From a burger van to an à la carte restaurant, my parents taught me that food is resilience and love. I wrote my first menus as a teenager, smuggled octopus into food tech class, and learned that identity and culture are found in every dish. Diagnosed with dyslexia at 18, I didn’t let it hold me back. I earned a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science, HACCP Level 4 certification, and a collection of other professional accolades. If anything, it developed my instinct for storytelling, not through rules, but through experience, emotion, and truth.

Today, I work as a senior business executive for one of the UK’s leading food companies, with expertise spanning food safety, innovation, and commercial strategy. Alongside this, I’m the founder of Recipes Without Borders, a food and travel storytelling platform built on passion, curiosity, and connection. With over 20 years in the industry, I’ve collaborated with Michelin-starred chefs, worked with global brands, interviewed celebrities, and built a loyal and global audience. Through immersive content and authentic storytelling, I help others Make, Taste, and Discover the world without borders, one unforgettable experience at a time.
